On Friday October 17th, 10th grade held their fall social after school from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Consisting of games, snacks, and movies to watch. It was fun and exciting, taking place in the gym and AUX, which are located in the middle school.
There was no specific order for what you could do during the social, so some students took that advantage to eat, a student who attended the social Cassidy Shelton says that “as soon as it started I went towards the food and I ate it all,”. There was pizza, donuts, chips, and brownies. We can bet that the donuts were a big hit with the students.
Besides the food, there were a bunch of games in the gym, board games on stage like monopoly, game of life, cards, uno, and a bunch of other board games . There was basketball on one side of the gym and volleyball on the other. Cassidy Shelton and Shiloh Ehiemua both said “I went to play volleyball” and “I played volleyball with my friends” almost the entire social.
In the AUX, students could watch Coraline, but it wasn’t as big a hit as the food was for some students. As Shiloh shares that “I didn’t watch it, but I know it’s a good movie,” and Cassidy says “personally, I like the movie but I didn’t watch it”.
By the end of social, students were full and had lots of fun playing with their friends after the stressful week of PSAT and tests. Students can’t wait to see what the student council has in store for us next time.
