Bright lights shining, loud music playing, the camera flashing, paints the picture of what Celebrino Event Center looked like last weekend when the juniors and seniors had one of the most exciting nights of the year, Prom!
Saturday April 11th was when the night everyone’s been waiting for became real. Walking into this beautiful venue, you’re met with a photographer taking everyone’s group photos, people checking out the games and dance floor, others taking their own photos with the outside scenery of flowers and a fountain, and everyone buzzing with excitement for the night ahead. “The ambiance whenever I first walked in was amazing, it felt really cozy and everyone looked so good”, Miranda Oyiriaru mentioned.
The night had lots of opportunities for conversation, hanging out, playing games and more. “Talking with people I’m not as familiar with and getting to talk to everyone” was Salah Abdulla’s favorite part of the night. Similar to what Emma Turner mentioned her favorite part, “getting to mingle with everyone, the venue was perfect for it since there was lots of space and the inside outside aspect was thrilling.”
After a long night of music and fun, the last songs played, students started to clean up, heading home or for some late night food runs. Gisele Turman described her evening after prom, “It was exciting, we went to P. Terrys after prom and going to a casual place while dressed up all fancy was amusing.”
Overall, Prom was an exciting night for everyone involved, all thanks to our parent and teacher volunteers to bring it all together for everyone to have a wonderful evening!
