Basketball players have warmed up and returned to the court to continue the 2024-25 season.
Currently, the Boys’ Varsity basketball team has a record of 4-4. Despite introducing several new faces on the court, they continue to showcase their skills to benefit the team in games and tournaments.
As the season progresses, the Boys’ Varsity team faces challenges, with four players unable to play due to injuries. This has significantly impacted the team, as some of their key players are sidelined until they fully recover.
“I was not happy about injuring my shoulder, but I got the opportunity to practice with my left hand, and I’m excited for when I’ll be able to return to the court,” said Adarsh Kalarikkal.
With just seven games played, many players have already stood out. Krish Bhalani leads the team in points, while Joe Bailey dominates in rebounds, both displaying their strengths on the court.
“Our season’s going pretty good,” said Dawson DosSantos. “There are ups and downs, of course, but we’re continuing to build better chemistry. We have things we need to work on, but not every team is perfect. We’ve lost a few games, but we’re using those as learning experiences while taking pride in our wins.”
In addition to the Boys’ Varsity team’s successes and struggles, the Girls’ Varsity basketball team is also making strides this season. They currently hold a record of 3-5.
“The basketball season so far has been a really positive experience because I’ve met a lot of new teammates, and we’ve won all of our league games. I’m very excited for what’s to come!” said EriAnn Cruz.
