With Homecoming week right around the corner, Meridian students have plenty of events to look forward to—one of the most popular being the 2nd Annual Adults vs. Students Volleyball Games. Parent volunteers and staff will once again lace up (and stretch out those knees) to take on Meridian’s high school athletes.
The games are set for Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in the Mays Gym from 8:00–9:00 p.m. The night will start with the Boys Varsity squad challenging the adults until 8:30, followed by the Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity teams joining forces for the second half of the competition.
Admission is free, and so is participation for any parents brave enough to take the court. Families can find the sign-up link—a quick three-question Google Form—on Meridian’s official school page under “Student vs. Staff Annual Volleyball Games.”
What should fans expect on the court? Boys Varsity player Dashiell Morris didn’t hold back, “I plan to score every point.”
Meanwhile, the adults’ roster is still under wraps, so the only way to find out who’s playing is to show up.
Girls Junior Varsity player Riley Wahl also encouraged students to attend
“The students and staff game is something you don’t wanna miss because it’s always super funny watching the adult team.”
Between the mystery lineup, the student-athletes’ confidence, and the energy leading into Homecoming, this event promises to be a spirited showdown that sets the tone for the rest of the week.
